James Mitchell
PROJECT MANAGER
James is a Kentucky native, but has been in Las Cruces since 1979. He is an NMSU Alumni and been an Aggie fan and supporter for over 30 years.

James has extensive experience in both metal and wood framing, roofing, drywall texture, tile, concrete staining, and various methods of fabrication. He also has experience in rammed earth homes, adobe homes and adobe restoration. He holds several certifications in various specialty applications. James has watched and participated in helping with the expansive growth Las Cruces has experienced in the last three decades.
He took his years of experience in the various trades and begin building Custom homes in 1994.
He attends the International Builders’s Convention and incorporates the latest technology, trends, and materials into his custom home building. James definitely has no problem breaking common trends and themes to create truly unique, individualized, custom homes.
If James isn’t on the job site doing hands on, he frequently visits to inspect quality, workmanship, and to keep the project running on time. James has worked with local subcontractors and vendors for 30 years and truly has an advantage when it comes to getting work done on time and to a level of quality that stands out above and beyond.
Mariana Barraza Mitchell
HEAD OF DESIGN
Mariana was born and raised in Juarez, Mexico; bilingual and bicultural, growing up on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, she understands and values the region and its unique background, a mixture of art, color and culture, which inspires the designing process.
She strives to design unique interiors and exteriors that will have a positive impact on her clients’ lives. With more than 15 years of extensive and considerable experience, she possesses an innate desire to create designs that exceed clients’ expectations.
With an eye for quality, a superior sense of style, and a client-centered approach to business, she offers a balance of creativity, collaboration and forward thinking with a structured, organized and detailed mentality.
Great designs begin with a comprehensive understanding of clients’ needs and expectations. Mariana's ability to develop client relationships based on respect, trust, and confidence has been the key to her success as a designer. Skilled at creating beautiful designs under a variety of budgets, styles, timeframes, and requirements, She guides her clients through every phase of the design process. She remains committed to cultivating valued relationships and helping clients reach the best version of their overall vision.
Her design career started attending Lorenzo de Medici Institute in Florence Italy; she holds a Graphic Design bachelor’s degree from Universidad Iberoamericana MX and a Visual Arts diploma from Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez.
